The motor is a 292 bored .060 with 13.2 compression Aires gas port pistons, 7.25 long Aluminum
rods, Sissells crank shaft, our own custom built oil pan with windage
screen, a custom roller cam with .750 intake .730 exhaust 318-324 duration
works the severe duty 1.94-1.60 valves, our own custom lump port head flowed
by Sissells all the valve train is Crower.
A converted Mallory unlite distributor with a MSD 6AL fires the motor. A pair of Holley 450 cfm carbs
meter the fuel while a set of custom step headers that we built releases the
burnt gases.
A pair of two chamber Flowmaster mufflers. A
aerospace remote pump mounted in the frame keeps the water moving and a desert cooler
radiator keeps it on the cool side.
The transmission is a turbo 350. A 8" TCI convector and a Hipster trans brake helps the truck launch at 5000 rpm.
A Ford 9" with 4.56 gears and Moser axels. We shift gears at 7200 rpm and go
through the lights at 6800 rpm. Our best ET is at the 1/8 mile 7.23 at 94
mph. The truck weights 2900 lb race ready. |
