Thanks to Steve Lukehurst of Sydney, Australia who sends these photos and describes his ride as follows:

The car is a '23 Buick, built on a '59 Chrysler (your '55 Plymouth) chassis. The motor is a Chrysler 265 hemi, bored to 4" (277 cu in), locally produced alloy head, 12:1 comp, triple propane carbs on a home made manifold (by my mates and me )1- 3/4" headers, 1.96"&1.6" valves, 290" cam, roller rockers etc. 904 torque-flite box and 4 wheel disc brakes for stopping power.

Paint is "fire flake". I wanted it to look like it was built in the 60"s but with a few modern conveniences. It's even got a heater of my own design. Cause the propane fuel likes a colder thermostat, I could not get the heater to come out hot (much to my wife's displeasure!!) so I remade it, and piped auto trans oil through it before it goes through the tranny cooler--comes out hot now! The car has been on the road for 7 years now and has traveled about 100,00km (built to drive) - it will rev to 6500rpm through the gears, but since the new motor has been installed, 1/4 mile has not been run (will be soon)

Thanks,    Steve
