Jim Linder's '40

This is Jim Linder's 1940 injected pick up.

Running a 292 plus 040, with propane pistons and tons of cylinder head work. Engine is to be fuel injected , shown in picture with a dual throttle body and will-now have two single 4 cylinder injector units sitting on a Clifford dual four manifold. Will look like two carbs when finished.

Jim owns Linder technical Services and Linder Fuel injection in Indianapolis. He has converted many street rods to TBI ( Low pressure) and port fuel ( high pressure).

Jim thinks the magic to his success is that he usually use a factory ecm and harness. This allows the engine to run just like it should. He out fitted his truck with a 91 GM computer with all sensors to include knock retard and
electronic timing control. If no one ever tells it, it won't know the difference in running on this truck or a 1991 factory truck!

Jim say's Maybe when this one is done and a few miles under it He can write up a tech article for the Inliners site.
