Does a 250 share the same timing chain and cover with a sbc?

All of the GM L6s use gears and no chains. Second generation 6s and 4s use the same gears and covers. Beater

Thank you sir........so suffice it to say they don't share the same cover as a sbc.

The timing covers bolt to the 6's at an angle and are very different than the SBC covers.

Nope. The old 235-261 Chevy & 228-302 GMC use the same cover. The 151-181 L4 & the 190 - 292 L6 use the same cover. The V things use something else. \:D Beater

Thanks guys. I did know that the cover for the L6 is at an angle but didn't know if it was the same as a sbc cover or not.........I was doing some out loud thinking..........
