I will be re-building a '56 truck 235 with mild cam, dual 216 Rochesters, dual exhaust, etc as a daily driver and since there is not a lot I can do to the exhaust in the way of reasonably priced porting, was hoping I could use a dual profile cam to advantage. A longer open time on the exhaust would seem to be a good thing. Are these cams a reasonable move, and if so, are they available and from whom. Anyone have any experience with these cams on the 235?
John,

Do a search for Dema Elgin. I had him grind the cam for my 321 inch GMC in our HAMB dragster, and it worked great.(347HP @ 5600 RPM)

Ron
Thanks for the lead. I'll give them a call.

Greetings . . .

Another option is the guys over at Delta Cams - they can grind pretty much whatever your core can handle. I had them grind a dual profile for me a few years ago:

I am still in the tear down phase of my project - working from back to front - been focused on drive line mods - probably won't get into the engine bay until next year . . .

so at this point it is still 'all on the drawing board' for me in terms of this type of cam . . .

I could go faster if it weren't for the need of a full time job!
