66 c10 3 speed not a saginaw, borg warner, or muncie. just has gm and some numbers on sideplate. has short 9" tail piece. need to rebuild but have no idea what it is. also what types of newer 4-5 speed trannys would have same bolt pattern and easily fit my 250 l6? any help would be appreciated
There are some New Process A833s around that were used in Chevy pickups, I believe...
These are the 4-speed units in which fourth is an overdrive. Probably a good option. 3.09:1 first gear, 1.67 second, 0.73:1 top.

These have an odd bolt pattern not common w/ any other G.M. transmission.
They came with both a "regular" and a "odd" pattern.
The Odd pattern mates with a mopar snout and GM made an odd bellhousing to match. I have the standard GM snout version in my pickup mated to the column shifter - it is a good tranny for a 3.73 or 4.11 rearend in a truck.
