Just 2 months ago I broke down in Livingston Montana, 800 miles from home with a cam that scrubbed the bottoms off of my lifters on my GMC 270. I was on my way to an ATHS meet in South Bend Indiana and was fortunate that friends were only 30 miles behind me. I ended up parking the truck in Livingston and riding to Chicago with friends and then renting a car for the show and flying home from Chicago followed by trailering my truck home.
