Here's a link to one of the 250's we just built. 2 more are in the works as well as TWO 292's.
This one has 'chamber' work, bigger valves, Chevy 307 Flat Top Pistons, the Intake Bosses removed (but not Lump Ported)running an Edelbrock 4 bbl 500 cfm manuel choke on an Offy Intake and Hedman dual long headers.

Enjoy!
PS - I NEEEEEEEEEED to know where to find 3 grove pulleys for the 250 if any one knows.

The three grove dampener was available on the 292, I don't know that it was available on the 250. There were some two grove pulleys used with the power steering option. If that helps.

What cam and compression?
I wonder if it would like a bigger carb?
Will U dyno it?
What is it going in?
Best sounding Six I have heard in a while, then again the dual open headers has to help.

It does sound nice.
To add something, notice that it has a auto flexplate. This takes about 30 lbs away from the rotating mass. That is why it revs so quick.

Yup - when that converter full of oil is attached, the response will always be softer.

I agree. BUT, if it is SLOW to Rap up as is, it would be a DOG once the Converter was attached. This is the FIRST ONE 'out of the shoot', a proto type for us. Just 'rolled the dice' and this is what we got.
Not really trying to BUILD a RACE Truck here, but want to be VERY DIFFERENT at Car Shows. Pulling in, perhaps they'd think it was a 350 'thumpin' along, but once I parked, they'd be quite suprised. I'm already putting it in an 'Attention Getter' - a
1940 Chevy Panel Truck in 'Patina'. A 'field' find in Wyoming.

Going to retire this tired old 216.

By the way, the Cam is a CUSTOM Grind from Comp Cams.
GARY, my Neighbor, owns Hawkins Custom Machine Works and is building these now. I had to coerce him, but NOW he has the FEVER. VALVES are: 1.940 Intake & 1.50 Exhaust.
