I posted these at the end of my other thread, but I figured they needed a new thread too. All broken in. The New carb made ALL the difference in the world. I'll fine-tune it once the truck is drivable.

The engine seems to run and idle well. It has a nice lope and starts easy now. Again, the new carb made all the difference. Wish I would have done this from the beginning.

Sounds Good smile
Thanks. It's got your lumps in there. Got them from you last June off ebay. Thanks again. (04sub70cam)
Sounds nice and zippy. It's funny how the lightened up rotating mass really helps a engine rev quick. Add the tq converter and the engine idle will calm down.

Now get it installed and drive it!
Yeah, with only the flexplate on it, it almost sounds like a motorcycle revving. The heavier flywheel and clutch setup will no doubt slow it down. Hopefully it'll still retain a little bit of zippiness. It's addicting. lol
That's one sweeeet sounding buzzin half dozen! Nice!!!

Thanks. Now to get the rest of it ready. First it's getting "quick assembled" so I can move it to Michigan in 2 weeks. It might have to take a little bit of a hiatus until I find a suitable place to finish the work. There are small garages/shops for sale/lease around the town we're moving to, so I might try to lease one of those just so I can have more room to work on it.

Here are a couple of pics. Trying to pass it off as a stockish 216. lol

Thanks. I have it and my old trans (Sag 4 spd) bolted in the truck with the front end all bolted on (not permanent) for the move to Michigan next week. It sits low. lol I have 425# springs on it that I cut 1 3/4 coils off. That along with a sway bar, it should handle well and not bounce much. I snapped a few photos...

And here's a shot of inside the cab with my power and heated Cadillac seats with built in seatbelts.

That's sweet! Nice to see it in the truck.
