these are are all the same engine, just names from different years, and how they may have been equipped.... but there is so little written about this model of engine.

I am looking for a lower distributor bushing/thrust washer.... my '87 181ci block was fitted with a bushing for the old conventional distributor with a 1/2" shaft, the new EST distributor has a 7/16" shaft, and so Im looking for the proper bushing for it...
does anyone have a common part number or diagram showing this bushing, which is sometimes called a distributor "thrust washer" by GM....
its my understanding this engine is in the same family as the 153-L4, 194-L6, 230-L6 and 250-L6 engines, so maybe the bushing/thrust washer will be the same in these engines that are equipped with the EST distributor???

thanks for any help you can give
If the outer dia. and thickness is the same why not just re-drill it.

all dimensions are the same except the hole for the shaft,
which is already 1/2".... and I need a 7/16" hole, which is smaller than 1/2". so redrilling is not an option.

and because I havent been able to find a place to purchase the correct one, I turned one out on the lathe.
