I'm looking at a '63 Willys pickup with a stuck 230 Tornado. I know this is an oddball, can it be rebuilt reasonably? Kind of a cool engine, but will it live as a driver?

My brother had an almost new '63 Wagoneer with that engine. It served him well. I think he sold it to get a pickup with a big camper. I'd like to have it now in that condition. We didn't know how to work on it because of the overhead cam. His old '56 with the flathead six was a monster in the woods.

A friend had the crank from one of those engines sitting outside of his shop just to see if it would rust. I know it sat there for a couple of years and you could wipe the slight surface rust off with a rag. He had polished one spot and it looked like chrome. This is Nevada and it's pretty dry here but is was under snow much of the winter.
