Though new to the group, I have been around the Stovebolt engines for some time now (Since high school with my 1957 Chevrolet 3100 with a 235 an several years later with a 150 that I built) and now have started back at gathering up a few projects to build once my new shop is complete. I recently picked up three trucks (55, 57 & 59 Chevrolet 6400's with a 235 and two 261 engines) which I plan on piecing together at least one operational truck for driving and building a 261 for use in a Ford Track T to haul around on the back of it. So, over the past few weeks, I have acquired some NOS parts and various new parts to start the build of one engine. I have also started to dig out a few parts that I have had since high school (848 head and an Offy 3x1 intake). I am looking forward to getting the engine torn down and seeing what the final results will look like (as the engine will be completed well before the Track T), but at least it is something to do when I am not at work or spending time with my loving wife.
