Have you had a chance to checkout the inline 6 videos over at Power Nation?

for Pro Guys" No torque plate when boring or honing the block You put vise grips on the splines Really?? Would have been smarter to use a Yoke, I would have left the bell housing off? put it on the block first to me that is easier. But hey that's just me and it is not my truck or build. But Bottom line is It runs great.

These Haggerty channel videos seem to approach alot of things with shade tree techniques - perhaps as part of the schtick of the shows. Here they use a sledge hammer to fit sleeves to a straight 8:

But in later installments the engine runs like a top. Was this block perhaps a stunt double?

LOL

Oh and did I mention the cool new feature that allows us to directly embed videos in post's here at the Inliners forums?

You need only cut and past the URL in your post - the software does the rest!

Soup that chevy! One year when gray Baskerville was still living and still at hot rod, he gave me written permission to reprint that article in the 12port news. I am pretty sure I still have his counter signature on my original letter. I forget which issue now but we published it complete. I am going to have to look in my archives and see when that was.

Just a quick note to say this wouldn't be a problem if this was distributed under the fair use act. The Inliners can distribute information, even if it's been published and/or within the 50 year copyright laws in the U.S. This is used for educational purpose.

Today that might be the case but in the 90s when I got permission, the act had not yet been enacted and would have been an issue.

Scans of the entire article have been on the net for a long time. Here's a good quality example:
