I am afraid that while I have lots of experience with the 235 and 261 chevy, I dont have a lot of experience with th4e later 292 motors but am in the process of building at lest two of them this coming year. I am collecting parts and discovered that I do not have any starter motor bolts. Any chance someone knows the specifications for 292 chevy starter motor bolts?

Check Mr. Gasket.

They are the same bolts as needed on a SBC. Bet you can go to your local auto parts store and find them in the HELP section. If not 12Bolt will have used bolts

Be careful, Like Tom said they are the same as SBC but some from the auto parts store are not the same. The thread length & the knurled area may not be the right length. I have a ruined 350 in my '99 Yukon because the knurled area was drawn too far into the hole and cracked the block. A piece actually fell out and the starter can not be tightened. Good 4x4 if I could start it. frown I have seen some marked for Small blocks that are different lengths and some with no expanded knurled area at all.

Find a bone/junk yard with a 250 in it and Pull the Bolts. PM sent. I have some you can have.
