On my 235 rebuild at .060 over, should I go with chrome or cast rings?
What type of engine are you building turbocharged, stock, etc?
Cast rings will cover for the most part of a normal engine rebuild.

The chrome rings will take for ever to seat IF they do. go with a cast for stock. or a ceramic moly ring for HIGH compression Or turboing.

It will have dual carbs and headers but it will be a street driver and mostly stock until we get the money together to do more. I had heard that about the cast rings seating better.

Go with the cast rings. Make sure the cylinder walls are absolutely clean before assembly. You don't want any of the residue from the hone to remain.
