i'm having real trouble getting hold of a full engine gasket set for my chevy235, thats in lots of bits, ready to go back together,I can get sump, head & side but not full, any ideas,Ive had one on order since end of june,i've now got two dealers trying to locate one, cant even get the crank seals to make a start

I'd shop on ebay and try for GM or Victor old stock vs something made in China. Langdon's Stovebolt should carry the crank seal or Patrick's in Casa Grande, AZ and Chevys of the 40's. These guys should be linked to this site or check the vendors over on Stovebolt.com.
Best of luck

Federal Mogul is an international supplier of FelPro gasket sets for all vehicles and marine applications. You should be able to do a web search in England to locate a supplier.

Another source would be The Best Gasket Company. Also, This 12 Port Advertiser has lots of parts.

Good luck!

I get all my 235 stuff from those folks

I would "stay away" from NOS stuff on e-bay.

Remember; Its decades old and gaskets shrink & rubber parts are often to hard to seal properly.

Patrick's will have all that you need (new/used) for a 235/261 engine. Their # is: (520) 836-1117.

Good luck. \:\)

keep getting asked if truck or car,is there a differance? I can get noend of head & sump kits but i'm sure they dont include little things like bearing seals, timing cover gaskets etc.

Not to confuse the "expensive is better" fraction, but I bought all my kits here

or here:

Engine rebuilder quality, never had a problem.
I also used a fellpro one time - have em side by side no differnce.

Blue,

There is no difference between Chevy 235 truck and car gasket sets.

Good luck getting your car on the road!
