I acquired a '63 model year 292 core. It has a still attached fuel pump with many screws around its perimeter. Is this type rebuildable? And are kits available anywhere?
I know I can buy a Carter made new style pump at Napa for under $20, but I'm looking for that nostalgic look.

Many vendors sell the original style fuel pumps and I believe some offer rebuild kits as well. I purchased an original style "dual-action" fuel pump that incorporates a vacuum pump above the fuel pump to improve the performance of vacuum powered wipers. Here are some of the vendors I've used: http://www.americanclassic.com/index.htm http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/cgi-bin/start.cgi/start.htm http://www.brotherstrucks.com/ http://www.gspp.com/ http://www.patricksantiquecars.com/
Good luck.
