To all: I am currently building a 272 cubic inch 261, and among other things I am using a 3x1 Offenhauser manifold. I have had machined three beautiful adapters to mount three of the progressive holley- weber two barrels to this manifold. This engine will be done and installed soon.
I am now looking forward to my next engine, a stronger (I hope) 292. However, for nostalgia, I wish to retain my 3 x 2 barrel set up. So, my question is; Are the carb pads on the Offenhauser manifolds for the 235/261 engines and those used on the 230/250/292 engines the same? I would like to be able to retain these adapters. Thanks

I don't know, but I did use a throttle body from a "b" carb off a 250 for the carb on my 261 and it fit the same.

I believe they are basically the same carb except for the neck which is made with a center air cleaner screw holdown on the 230, 250 and 292. The bowl and base are the same, although I'm sure they are the large 235 and 261 base, not the small 216 base.
