Did Clifford ever make an aluminum head for a chevy straight six?

Not to my knowledge, but they may have re-sold a Kirby/Sissell or Duggan head or two. I'm assuming you're referring to the late 230/250/292 motor. There were a few (very few) Nicson alloy heads made for the 235, and even fewer 18-bolt Wayne 12 ports for the same motor.

Jack, in your last post you said "referring to the late 230/250/292 motor." Was there a 12 port style head made for a 250?? I have only heard of them for 302's.

I'm a little hazy on special heads for the late motors (I'll have to re-read the Santucci Power manual!) The Kirby/Sissell heads are aluminum alloy but not of crossflow design like the older Wayne versions for the GMCs and early Chevs. I'm not sure about the Duggan.

The only late motor crossflow design I can swear to is the one-off types welded up from 2 V8 heads. These have only been done in cast iron, as far as I know, but I could be wrong here. Anybody with the true info, please post!

The Kirby/Sissell or Duggan head is not a cross flow head. And it took a different intake all together. Because the intake entered at a angle down into the head. just above where the stock intake would normaly mount. That is about all i know about them heads.( Besides That they Flow VERY WELL) Hope this helps.

There was never a crossflow late model 194-292 head. There was the guys that cut up small block heads.
Mike at Sissells has a new aluminum head for street rods almost ready. It is not a cross flow but intake is kicked up at a 45 degree angle. This is a copy of a Duggan head only better. There is a race version on the way too.

There is a twin cam crossflow conversion for Australian GM and Ford inlines. Very cool. Never received a response from them to see if it work on the 230-292 motors
