I just bought an offy 4 barrel intake for my 292 chevy I6. Which carbs does it fit without an adaptor. I already bought a really nice 4 bbl holley 450cfm carb and it has a diffrent pattern so I am at a crossroads of what to do. thanks

Any of the big chain parts stores (Advance, Autozone, Pep Boys) sell adapters that will allow your Holley to bolt to the Carter/Edelbrock pattern of the Offy adapter plate. It's a really common piece. Probably cost you about 20 bucks, and it'll give you a 1/2 to 1" additional mounting height. That will help with throttle clearance issues, trust me.

So check one of your local parts chains or Ebay. They have 'em on there too.

If your Holley 450 cfm is a spreadbore carb, Offy sells a spreadbore -to -squarebore adapter. I got one at the local hot rod shop. It adds about an inch of overall carb/manifold height, but that shouldn't be a problem.
