I would guess it would really be more of a "cheater 250" (or "cheater 230", etc.).It's a cheater because it looks like the authentic thing but has the crankshaft (therefore overall displacement) of the bigger six.
There have been several discussions of this on this board - do a search of this topic in the "Engine", "Drivetrain" & "High Performance" forums and you'll find matches for sure.
The main problem I remember from previous posts is engine failure due to the long stroke of the crank & long rods in the short deck block. And there has to be extensive block modifications and bottom end balancing to reduce the chances of failure. Twisted 6 & other more experienced inline 6 builders would be the ones to best advise on this topic.
