Whats your experience of this carbs?
Would autolite 2300 be a alternative?
For near stock GM 250cid,( splitted exhaust/9.5:1 comp,Hei )
would the 350, be the best sulotion, or would stock 1bbl both outperform & better economy?

The 350 will come on earlier then run out of air and the 500 will give you troubles trying to lean it out enough. That's my experience with them on a somewhat samller engine (188 CID). I don't know that the 62 CID extra would be enough to bring the air demand up enough to work right for the 500 and I have no experience with a 2300 Autolite, wish I could have been more help.

Anyway Nexxussian, i got one answer from someone who got ownexperiences.
Many guys says the Weber 32/36 is great, but not when the engine should be functional superb. At an 235cid its function okay, and on a smaller engine(as the 218 Dodge, great!) but a little bigger in cid, this is to small!
How many with the 292cid uses the Weber? And i rather dont see many uses this on the 250 cid either.
I should belive a lot of this boardmembers should have experied what who suits their engine best, or could reply what they use............

...so therefore i wonders about the 350 vs. 500 2bbl´s!

I have been running a 500 Edelbrock on my .80 over 250 (260) Chevy for a few years. It does have an RV cam and headers with duel 2 1/4" exhaust and Hei. Mostly I just putt around, it's definitely a daily driver. When I drop down a gear and ask for more power it balks for just an instant and then goes like hell. I'm thinking that I maybe should have gone with a 390 Holly. I'm no expert and maybe it's just a simple tuning fix.
I think either one of these carburetor would be good for your application. Hopefully you can get a more definitive answer. I'm very happy with my 500.

I actually like my stock 1bbl carb for my stock 250. I don't have experience with others so I may be missing out, but I like the economy too for my daily driver. Will probably just add headers to mine and that's it.
dO YOU MEAN aUTOLITE 2100? / 2150? i USE THEM. tHEY HAVE THE SAME BOLT PATTERN AS A hOLLEY 2v AND WORK GREAT. tHEY COME IN SEVERAL SIZES AND ARE FAR CHEAPER TO BUY THAN A hOLLEY - AT LEAST WHERE i AM. tRY ONE - A 1.08 OR 1.21 VENTUURI WILL GET IT DONE.

OOPS - . sorry about the 'caps lock' snafu.
