Okay guys I need some help again. I just had my 1 bbl. carb rebuild and now it's running really bad. It idles fine and it doesn't back fire unless you really floor it down all the way. But the big issue is that as soon as I take off on 1st gear it's really jerky and it has no power at all. The points are set right and I know there's no vacumm leak that I know about.
Any suggestions? Thank you.
:-)

What about the carb base gasket? does the slot in the gasket line up with the hole in the base of the carb?

If it doesn't, your power circuit won't work correctly.

I just found my problem guys. I went down to my garage an hour ago and found out that one of my plug wires was throwing sparks.
Looks like I will be buying new wires. Thanks for your help.
