How much clearance do you have to have between the pan and the crossmember. I'm ready to weld in my motor mounts and have 3/4" right now. Should I open it up some more? Any thoughts?

If taking the pan off after the engine is in is a requirement for you, then the only way to know is to try taking off the pan...

Otherwise, if it clears, it clears...
