Hey guys new to the board. I have a 1970 Chevy Stepside w/a L6, the carb is missing the fuel inlet nut. Where can i find another one? I have searched ebay, napa and advance auto. I have also checked with the junkyards with no success. Thanks for your assistance.

Is this the nut that the fuel line screws into?

If so, Summit Racing sells all kinds of them. Should be one of these,

7/8"-20 or the bigger 1"-20 thread with your choice of fuel line size, 1/4" up to 3/8".

You might also want to check in your local area and see if there are any places that sell industrial hardware or carry a full line of brass fittings. A lot of times you can find a generic fitting that works as well or bettet then the factory one. Look for somewhere that sells Earl's A/N fittings and lines, too.

hello,
have a look at these 2 pictures. Is it the "nut" that is marked "G" in the right picture,or the nut that screws into "G" ?
if it is "G",that is the needle and seat valve that shuts fuel flow off when the carb bowl is full. these are available from most parts stores.
If it is the flange nut that is on the fuel line, and screws into "G",then a visit to a carburettor repair place,or a wrecking yard should yield results.(might have to get the whole fuel line with nuts fitted). Or Summit as has already been mentioned by Joe.

Rod (walpolla), That's a great illustration you posted!

Joel, Take the carb to your local auto supply store and I bet they can match it up. After you identify the fitting you need and if you get really stuck, I probably have a used one laying around in my "never throw carb parts away box".
I can mail you one.
