I am continuing this 194 Straight 6 build and did some math to calculate the carb i should be running.
1) My engine is bored .030 over and running some major cam (don't have details yet).
2) By my math the displacement is now 198ish or so
3) Using the formula (MAX RPM X Displacment / 3456) i get the target carb of 315ish.

I will be using a 4 BBL carb and an offenhauser so i believe that I should be buying a 330-375 CFM carb. Since there are not many square bore made in that size, the smallest i can find is the Holley 390. Specs below...

Holley 0-8007 - Holley Model 4160 Adjustable Float Carburetors
* Carburetor, Model 4160, 390 cfm, 4-Barrel, Electric Choke, Single Inlet, Dichromate,

thoughts? Anybody run this carb on a 6? results?
A 350 or 500 CFM Holley 2 bbl will work also, & does not need the tunning of the secondaries to come in @ the correct time.

but, and please excuse my ignorance, doesn't that 2BBL require an adapter to bolt to an offenhauser or clifford intake?

those intakes are 4 BBL, right? is that adaptor worth trying?
I think adapting a two barrel to a four barrel manifold is OK, going the other way is what not to do. Joe

clifford intakes have an open flange that you bolt one of there carb flanges to. just as easy to bolt on a 2bbl one as 4bbl. Also can turn 90 deg.
WOW! The things you learn over here....

Mr. Gasket 1933 appears to be the type of adapter I would use.

cool..

still haven't decided on an intake or a carb, still looking at combos that will work.

Thats what you would need for a manifold where the 4bbl carb flange is part of the cast manifold.. for a clifford you the the flange sold by clifford. their manifold requires one of their carb flanges, they tell you that.
I run a 390 on a 240, and a 450 on a 300. Both work well. You will have to fatten up the pump circuit on the 390 (bigger squirters).

The 350 Holley 2-barrel is only equivalent in 4V flow depression to about 250 CFM - which should do fine on a 194. That's where I would start. Good luck.
