ok here is my story i have a 82 c10 i bought with a 250 in it. i plan to swap it out for a 350 i am getting off my friend. and redo the truck. any way i want to use the 250 in my hot rod i plan on building. ony thing is that it has integrated intake manifold. well i wnat to do a individual throttle body set up so this head will not work. which would be a good head swap for doing a very heavy built motor. like can i use a 292 or 230. or stick with a 250 head. or do i need to find another engine all together? thanks for the info!!!

You can use any of the earlier heads. The 250 would make a nice motor for a hot rod. There is a lot you can do with a 250 using off the shelf parts. Good Luck.

is there any advantage to using a 230 or 292 head. or are they all the same?

For practical purposes, the 230-250-292 heads are the same. A 194 will give higher compression but needs work to unshroud the valves.
They all need plenty of work to make them good. tom
