i'm redoing my 270 gmc and my rear mainseal is the black graphite type. it dosn't seam to fit quite like the old one did, it was bigger. my gasket set is a victor set. is this black one ok to use, thought i read something on here one time that there was a better fitting one.

Best Gasket makes the best gaskets for GMCs I have ever used. Hopefully you can find just the rear main seal. They come with a template and a blade in the kit. The valve cover gasket is much better as well. I got mine from Patrick's but other places sell them. You might try Ebay. Beater
