I have one that came out of a vintage stock car. It probably came out of an old GM/Chevy truck. Valve cover says Cheverolet. It spun the distributor gear and needs a new cam. As far as I know that is all it would need. It ran well until it spun the distributor gear. Make an offer and pick it up in Clarence Iowa.

Which year 235? They started in 1942 as splashers in trucks and then later in 1953 had some full pressure (30 lbs) and some still splashers. Finally in 1954 all of them were full pressure. Look on the flat deck behind the distributor and get an engine number. Then look at the left hand side and get the Casting numbers (raised) as well as those on the right side. Then we can discuss what exact 235 you have and what suggestions may be made for you to consider.
