I,d like to use a (NEW/ STOCK REPLACEMENT) 12" flywheel with my newly O/H'ed 292. my question is can I use a sbc (350) flywheel for a 12 " clutch on my 292 if I enlarge the mounting bolt holes to 1/2" I.D. and not have to balance it ? all thoughts are appreciated

You should have the balance checked on it anyway. But yes you can use it.I run the Sbc flywheels on my 250 blocks.

CHECK BALANCE WITH THE CRANK ? OR JUST THE FLYWHEEL ?

just the flywheel OR you can have it balanced with the clutch ass. on it.But if you do it with the clutch ass. you would have to that each time with a new set-up.I normaly just do the flywheel.Or more then one set-up at a time And each is marked for the way it mounted at the time of balancing.
