Hello inliners

Got a hold of a rebuilt 250 on the cheap to replace a smoked 292. Block numbers 473483, believed mfg in 1973 from the G--3. Engine is already in the '75 K20. Just wanted to confirm a few things;

Fuel pump - I will need a 250 pump or go electric correct?
Oil pan - 292 pan is in better shape.. Do i need a 292 pump assembly, or just the pickup? Extra capacity is nice too.
Balancer - This just a press fit? Have an 83 k10 that apparently doesnt have a bolt either.

Other then that, its about ready to fire. Thank you.

The 250 pump will work fine.
If you use the 292 pan also use the 292 pickup. Oil pumps are the same.

Balancer is a press fit, while the motor is out. Drill the snout for a 7/16 fine thread bolt. This will facilitate the use of a balancer installer.

a machine shop is really the correct way to drill the crank. you cant get it centered & drilled precisely by hand. It will work fine as its dessigned to do stock. JMO
