posted as ebay item number 271289718643 he claims: "The power levels should be around 300 horsepower and 550 ft lbs of torque".

When questioned about the torque number he replies " You clearly know nothing about in line 6 cylinders. This motor has a 4.125 stroke crankshaft which produces a tremendous amount of torque. most engines have a 3.5 stroke crankshaft, which produces alot less torque. another thing your probably unaware of is people can build motors that make alot more power then stock, crazy isn't it. so I'm glad to hear you think your an expert but I really don't need your useless input."

Sounds like a knowledgable fellow, possibly has friends in the industry. Keep a good grip on you wallets and dont drop your soap!

It would be unchristian of me to say what it sounds like that guy is full of. Most of my knowledge concerns the early engines, but I do know you're not gonna get those kind of numbers without port work. I didn't notice any in the pics.

well, port work and dynamite, absolutely no way in hades you can get 550 ft/lbs outta unblown 292 inches! be it 4,6,8, or 12 to 16 cylinders even if they are a vee , inline, three banks or a radial, whether the stroke is 3 inches or 6 inches either, as Bugs Bunny would say "what a maroon!" And he really thinks he's sharp!

Man that is impressive. Thirty over, a shaved head. and a mid-range cam and he doubled the HP and torque. It must be that $500 valve cover and the coating. It sounds like it was coated with BS. \:D
If you look @ the aft intake port, it appears to have been ported & ported through (intake boss) to the head bolt hole.

Just minor cleanup on the intake bosses.

Must be a Lee lites 350+ CFM intake port design?

I believe if you tip the can to that engine AKA add nitro, it should make 550 ft lbs

Wow Hank, Do you think a Lee Lites head may have surfaced? The PES valve cover could be a clue. It would be fun to look at. Would it be pre lumps or just a lower performance build. I wonder what valves are in it?
I was jus playin. Lee Lites would know the stroke is 4.120", correct?

I think this guy is a friend of Lee's.

It has been on there or several weeks now, obviously others that viewed it saw thru the BS he has listed and it hasn't sold. The head looks untouched and still has the bolt bosses in it. I think he falls into the category of just utterly clueless.

I was thinking if it was one of Lee's heads it would be fun to look at. Do you think the dark spot on the boss is a hole into the bolt hole? The bosses do appear to have been ground down. Has the roof been raised a little as well or is it just the paint job?

It does not look like much to me either. The guy needs some schooling.
Probably closer to 220 hp and 300 ft lbs tq.

Which is still a stout engine. I wish my 270 did that.

Why its a modern day miracle! but I guess I didn't realize that you could build them up to make more than they had stock--imaginge that--more than the stock! (faint)
