I don't know if it's a common trade but I found a guy in Oregon who replaces the rubber in old balancers. I just shipped him my 3 groove, and he claims a two day turn around, for $115 plus shipping.

I didn't realize that. I kept searching using yahoo. The people that do don't seem to advertise very well

I'm using a reman from Rockauto.com ( DORMAN Part # 594031 ) $60.
'75 C30 4.8L. It's only a 2 groove, I don't need 3.
4 years, 15K mi. no problems.

I don't think mine came with A/C, but it did have an Alt, PS, and an AIR system. I know that you can bolt an accessory pulley to a 2 groove, but I figure why not use the original?

Gentlemen,
How does one amount a Fluid Damper Harmonic Balancer, or TC Rattler on a 1979 250 and still maintain the grooved pulley to drive the alternator and water pump? Thank you.
Regards,
Ken

I just turned a hub that fit inside the front of the damper and mounted a flat pulley to that, taking care to have negligible runout.
