I'm in the the home stretch building my 261 for my 50 Fleetline and am finishing up all of the time consuming details. One of those is making a new line for my vacuum advance.

Originally the motor was stock with the Delco distributor and single barrel Rochester. I have replaced that set-up with an old style Mallory distributor with triple side draft Zenith carbs on a Nicson manifold.

So my question is which carb should the vaccum advance line connect to? The center carb makes sense to me but the front carb would be easier! Or does it even matter? Maybe the vaccum advance doesn't care which carb it comes from?

As usual any feedback is much appreciated!

Assuming the linkage is unison (non progressive) any carb should have the same port vacuum as long as the carbs are synced.

Sounds like you have a cool setup in a cool car.

Thanks CC, it is non progressive linkage, and when I get this thing running the carbs will (hopefully) be synced! Appreciate the reply
