I have bought one of the AC Delco remote oil filters that bolt to the intake manifold and has the 2 hoses on it. Benn doing a little reading on here about re-directing oil to the head, etc and now have a couple of questions. The car is our 157 Chev 235, all stock.
1. Is it recommended or good idea to install these type of filters?
2. Believe it uses a Wix 51006 or Fram C4P filter. Can anybody verify that for me?
3. Never installed one so exactly where do I plumb the two lines? Thinking one goes in where the plug is at the back of the block and the other to where the oil pressure switch is

Thanks..

This link should help you. Personally I think these type of filters are a waste of time since they filter so little oil and are sloppy to change filters, but since you bought one, might as well use it. It'll look nice anyway.

Thanks for the link. Shows me exactly where the hoses go as it is the same unit. I wasn't too sure how good they work so will have to decide if going to install it or not..
