WOW inline six goes 5.77 @ 247 MPH.
Stock block 2JZ makes 2500 HP
Door car 2100 LBS
10.5 tire

Time to junk the 4200's

There are a few running then in Mustangs in the Heads up street car classes out here. If you can get them to run sub 8.50's in a 3600lb door car, anything lighter should fly.

At 3600 lbs would still run 6.50s @ 200+ mph

Damn Harry sounds like you've been getting a good nights sleep.

My opinion is that the 2JZ is an amazing engine and I would like to have one myself. The 4200 lacks many things mainly engineering and a customer base to fund more development. The owner of that team said they were helped by some F1 engineers to find power. The GM 2200 inline 4 makes a ton of power and of course there is R&D to help thing progress as well a class to race it in. Here is the video of the car going 6.29 in the 1/4 mile and it should make some big HP for a 4 banger. That technology just never seem to have made into the inline 6.
