Hey everyone!
I’ve got a set of pistons I’m trying to find if they will work for my 250 build @ 15 psi...
They are stamped L2396 on top... what are they?
Older TRW forged?
There is a large chamfer on top.

Please help!

I have not been able to find anything on google.

This is the best I can do:
STOCK TRW FORGED PISTONS
PART NUMBER L2396F
250 CHEVY ENGINES
75 THRU 84
1.655 COMPRESSION DISTANCE
.073 DISH, CHAMPFER
5/64 5/64 3/16 RING LANDS

From my LIMITED piston knowledge and research, that is the stock factory pin height and the dish is about right. I have read about stock replacement pistons being anywhere from .060 to .115 dish. Using these will give a compression ratio in the low 8s. Member TLowe would be able to give a lot more accurate information. Jay
