Gather parts for 250 turbo efi project - 01/23/11 01:23 AM
Hi ALL!
O.k. so Im new and maybe I didn't look enough yet but here goes...
My project: I am going to build a megasquirt 3 efi multipoint system for my inline 250 then turbo it.
I have found numerous sources for parts, im going to use a spa exhaust manifold, ford edis coil pack and modules, I am having a custom crank trigger wheel made, will be using a 2002 chevy 5.3 throttle body. I will likely use a clifford 4 barrel intake to an edelbrock 90 degree throttle body adapter.
Here is where it gets interesting and I have some questions.
for the fuel rail setup I am thinking about using a Holden 202 red motor injection setup. I have seen a lot of Australian 202 parts, however I found the aluminum heads are in fact too short (bummer) I am curious about the multi part intakes the holdens use, has anyone here tried using them? Also I have some questions about 14 degree vs 20 degree timing gears... are they noisy? well thats enough for now.
