I am cleaning out the shop and have several Chevy 6 cylinders and a bunch of parts for sale. I have a 68 230 out of a Nova, a 69 250 out of a Camaro, and a 69 Chevelle engine that I haven't looked up to see if its a 230 or 250. This still has a Powerglide attached. I also have a set of Clifford headers for a full size 65-72 Chevy, a set of truck headers, a dual point distributor, and an HEI distributor I got from Tom Langdon.
I could make someone a real good deal if they want to take everything. This is all in Freeland, Michigan - 2 hours north of Detroit. Marty Knox 989-714-4671

How much do you want for the truck headers?

Thanks,
Mark

Interested in Tom Langdons HEI distributor. It needs to be for a 261 engine, is it his Mini HEI? if so how much?

Gbauer has made the suggestion that with a '250 crank and connecting rods, I can convert my 230 to a 250.

How much for the 250? What else comes with it?

Thanks,
Mark

The 250 connecting rods are the same as your 230 connecting rods, so they are needed unless you just want to get a spare set. With the installation of the 250 crank, you will need to install 250 pistons and not 230 pistons.

Hey, thanks. I think I misquoted Gbauer. I'd put in new pistons and rings regardless of the shape of the engine I pull the crankshaft from. I don't like oil burners.

If I do this, from now on, when I'm online and the stores ask me for my engine type, I just put in 250, not a 230, right?

Anyways, I'll be looking for an engine or even just the crankshaft.

Yes it would be a 250 at this point.

I don't think I can help much with a crankshaft, the shipping from Utah to South Carolina, FedEx is $114.00 (based on the crank being 85 pounds and 40 X 9 X 9 inches)

Suggest you look online, I found a re-manufactured crank for $140 plus shipping that was all ready machined and included bearings.

Of course, if I can still help let me know.

Thanks for the offer. I managed to find a few 250ci engines in my area. Not sure why they didn't pop up on my initial search. Anyway, it might be better to buy the whole engine just for the crank. Thanks again.

Which headers do you have for the 250? I need/want a set for my 64 C10. My 250 is from the late 70s.

Thanks!
