250 BA

Al had a well built 250 in his 52 Chevy, after 1 ride in a 4200 powered vehicle ("I gotta get me one of those") - it came out. Now upgraded to a 2006 (290 HP) 4200 with a TKO600 behind it.

Al's been a long time inliner.

I must thank Marc for posting the info on my 4200 build.
I really did not realize there were two camps in regards to the Atlas series of motors. My thoughts were "It's an inline, so what's the problem?"
Are people trashing Ford 6's as opposed to a Chevy 6's?
I think not.
I thought this organization welcomed all inlines.
I know Marc pushes the Atlas series, but what better forum to do that but Inliners.
Frankly I'm surprised.

Al-

You have a neat, interesting car.

The Club Constitution says:

"The purpose of this Club shall be the preservation and enjoyment of all makes of modified 4, 6, or 8 cylinder inline engines, as well as the encouragement and publication of studies and research pertaining to their history, modification, restoration, and maintenance."

Neat car. I hope to see it someday

Sounds good, too

That could be mistaken for a "real" six. laugh
Sounds like a v6, not an inline....purely opinion here thats all.
Update from Al.
"
Been driving the Chevy for almost two months now and I am very happy with it. The car is very responsive in all gears and is very smooth right from a cold start up. It seems to just sip the gas even though I am driving it pretty hard. The split manifold and dyna flows are ideal as they really rap when you put your foot in it, but are very quiet with no drone when cruising or driving at a steady speed.
I have some minor issues to work out but overall I would recommend this swap to anyone. If I kept the hood closed, no one would know that the sound is coming from a modern OHV (edit DOHC), fuel injected, four valve, cam phased, Atlas motor from a Trail Blazer. However, when I park it at a show, the first thing I do is open the hood."
