Is any body building 4.2 performance parts. Is there any other fourms that cater to these motors or is all out race stuff.

EFI-DIY and someone else have been tinkering with those, someone has one running in an older truck (on this forum) but I can't seem to get the search function to work for me today \:\( .

EFI-DIY's main post (that I can find now) is titled 4200 Turbo Project.

There was a thread on a group buy for cam blanks and a billet turbo exhaust manifold (might be in the 4200 Turbo Project thread, haven't gone back and re-read).

I have kept up best I can as I think it's neat, but I don't currently have one or a project I'm likly to stick one in, sooo I haven't gathered any parts (yet). If you think you might be building one up though, you might consider getting whatever you can lay your hands on, as I don't expect the availability to get any better in the future \:\( .

Okay, poking around without the search feature (and remembering to reset the viewable fields at the bottom of the page to 'all topics', Doh!) I came up with a few that should be relavent.

Vortec 4200

4200 Carb Intake

4200 Turbo Project

4200 Billet turbo exhaust Manifold

So I'm adding this thread to my watched topics for a reference, still haven't found the thread with the older pickemup (Beater of the pack?) but I haven't quit looking either.

So I've kept looking and I have one more so far

Vortech 4200 Part 2

Oh and the truck with the 4.2 in it, EFI-DIY of course (DUH ). I haven't found the beginning of that thread yet (so I can link to it) but I'm still workin' on it \:\) . There is mention of a 4.2 in a Supra as well, I'll have to find that as well.

I've asked a knowledgable individual about this (via PM), but does anyone know how to search threads older than a year?

Oh I also remember a 4.2 into a Spitfire, or was it an MG? Regardless, I'll have to find that too.
