I generally remove a leaf or two and have the spring eyes reversed by a local spring shop. You gotta pull the springs anyway. Why not clean 'em up and replace the tie bolts? Inexpensive and efficient!!

If the springs go under the axle you can use lowering blocks between the axle and spring. On the front the axle is below the spring so blocks won't work.

The easiest and cheapest way to drop a truck is use a flip kit in the rear and a dropped axle in the front from someone reliable like Sid's https://www.droppedaxles.com/
