Fellow inliner needs a Chev 292 Flywheel, 168 tooth, 7/16" holes. on which to mount a 11" pressure plate, disk. Contemplating a Pick & Pull trip to find one. 250's more prevalent than 292's. What vehicles/other engines are most likely to have this flywheel?

Any pre '86 V8 (2 piece rear main seal) with a 168 tooth flywheel will work.

I was searching for a zero balance 157 tooth flex plate for a big block six cyl ford project I am doing and was told that Ford never made such an item for a 240/300, that it only came in 164 tooth. Then I found a company in michigan that not only could supply me with the 157 wheel but could give me two choices both SFI cert. starting at $57.95. After talking to these people I have came to beleive that they have the best selection of flywheels and flex plates around. They also sell other performance parts but mostly for V things. Their main bussiness is transmission parts. I have never been to their place but received excellent service over the phone. They might be worth a try.
