Here is the next part to roll out the door. Took one of my 6 cyl units and surgically removed material and then rewelding together.
This one is just for trail. Next will get a pattern made and start production.

There needs to be more 4 cylinder stuff out there. Here is one of my new 4 cylinder intakes I just got cast.

Looks like you might start getting busy. Good job.
Cool! Looks great!
Nice! cool

Tom,

Okay, it's a bit off topic, but after putting rack & pinion steering and A/C in the Nova, along with a Mini Subframe kit, the Clifford headers wouldn't fit, so I didn't use them after all. If you still want them, we might be able to work out a trade, since I don't need them any more at this point.

Here is the drawn up part. Pattern shop said will have the pattern by end of month. It is cute!

It's so little! Awww!

I'm kind of surprised Chevy didn't figure out how to re-use one of their 8 cylinder covers...
We talked. Mid July, maybe??
Pattern is at the foundry now. Pick up samples next week. Then I get to whittle on them.
Tom! Are you planning to machine the cover for PCV?
Here it is! Have 6 in my hands and machined the bolt patterns tonight.
The PCV and fill holes can be put in 3 places. I can machine them. A bolt on the side unit can also be used.

PM me with the cost for one unit with the PCV hole in the front position, please. Fill hole is the quarter turn style and is in the rear position.

Tom! Maybe we can get together the middle of next week??
Tom I might be interested in one with no filler or PCV holes. Are the 3 bolts in the manifold side? Is the 2 bolt side flatter inside allowing breathers to be mounted?

Tom- I am very interested in one like Blackwater wants.

Mike H
Sounds good guy's. I only machine for pushing style breather and pcv.
Took 2 to the polisher today.

That is great, I will only need the push breather and no PCV in mine. Can't wait to see the polished model.

Mike H
I can do the oil fill myself if I need to. I can actually start with a blank unit as well if it is less expensive. I like the fresh cast look, but I might polish or diamond cut the fins.
Here is the crown jewel. Polished.
And a Blasted one with 2 holes.

I like the polished one with no holes…..yet. I'm going to try one more cut down tin one but I'm not sure.

Looks great how do I order one.

Mike H
I will have them on the www.12bolt.com website soon.
That's shiny for sure!
Here is the first one to be sold. It may not be to everyone's flavor.

I just ordered the cover from your web site. When will the side cover be available to match?

Thanks

Mike
Saw the order. Machined it today. Side cover this winter.
Here it is!
Tom!!

Do you have pricing for direct over the counter sales?

if you go to his web site he has them listed.

Mike
Thanks, Mike!

For some reason I'm not getting everything on Tom's website through my home computer.
I'm going to buy one of these when I grow up. shocked Tom do you know why the side with 3 holes doesn't have 4 holes. I know the heads are not drilled and tapped. Is that because the hole would go to water? The boss is there in the head.
I'm torn between a raw finished one and the total polish job!! The rat rod just screams out for a raw finished one, but my old customizing heart says, "Ya' ain't cool if yer chrome don't shine!!"
Been busy with the boy on his projects, work and the shop.
Not sure why some people have a hard time on my site.

Blackwater, were you using a android device?

Beater. I think that extra pad is from when GM designed them from shortening a 6 cylinder head.

I was torn too on which version to put on my own engine. Ended up with a polished one with a side adaptor/ breather to add oil. Still need to paint between the fins.

Tom, That looks great. Man those are busy little engines, just so many components in a small space. Not much of it is optional at least we don't have to worry about AC and power steering. shocked

So, Do you think I could drill and tap a hole there?
Yes, that should be a full thickness pad. If not, you will be the first one to know.
No, it's my Mac. I finally got a couple of format issues squared away and I got a good look last night.

I like being first! That's why God invented JB Weld. laugh
