I have a '66 Chevy II with the 194cid. It's only for street ,no racing. Here's the specs; true dual headers and dual exhaust. they are short tube, 2.5" collectors running 1-1/2" pipe to 2 Spintech mufflers. Offenhauser intake with 4412 Holley with annular booster and drilled and tapped hsb, pvcr, and high speed bleeds also, milled choke. Cam specs are 110* lobe center, adv dur. is 264 ,210*@ .050. 478* lift. Total timing should be 36*. 1984 year grind! . HEI with MSD wires with crane Cams HI-6. I think pt. no. is 6420. Trans is original Powerglide and stock gears with 225/70/15 in back. I'm looking for a better cam if there is a better one than the one that I have.

Any more cam is going to feel flat with that gear and converter.
What initial spark lead are you running?

I would run a smaller cam and work on the head. Use my RV/langdon HO cam and install 1.84 intakes and the bolt in lump kit. Then that little 194 would get going. While the head is off, mill it about .030.

I don't really want to tear into it that much, just want to maybe change cam.

To tall of a tire if you have the 3.08 rear you more then likely knocked it down to in the higher 2.00 270 range. I'd change the rear gears before I'd change the cam. Or change out the glide for a turbo 350 or 200r. They have a lower first gear then the glide. Or go back to a 14inch tire and see how it runs then.
