flower,
I run a Doug Nash 5-speed with a McLoed pressure plate and Ram sintered iron disc..

Im using a i-phone and says file type blocked.

That is a nice collector. I run that same disk from Ram and I am using their adjustable pressure plate.

I've kinda' changed gears and am involved in other interests at the moment. I'm heavily involved in long range rifle competitions and making components for that.

I have discovered that working in my guns takes a lot less heated space than working on my cars. laugh

Cool! Is there another stock crank that can be used to destroke a 300?
Posted By: CNC-Dude #5585 Re: Six Gun 272ci - 01/25/23 07:03 PM
The factory 300 crank can be de-stroked some by offset grinding the journals to the smaller SBC journals, or even the Honda journal size if you dare go that small.
Posted By: Twisted6 Re: Six Gun 272ci - 01/25/23 10:32 PM
that is what they do to destroke the 292s

The Ford 240ci is basically a Destroked 300 ci, same block, same bore, shorter stroke..

The crank in my engine I got from a old comp eliminator guy that got it as a raw forged crank and then Destroked it ( on weld )
-Stock 300ci crank 3.98 stroke
-Stock 240ci crank 3.18 stroke
-My 272ci crank 3.50 stroke
Posted By: stock49 Re: Six Gun 272ci - 01/27/23 01:21 AM
How many RPM did you pickup with the shorter stroke?
Posted By: six gun Re: Six Gun 272ci - 01/27/23 01:35 AM
stock49
Im hard on everything..
-Launch 6800 - 7000
-Shift 7000
-Top end 7300 - 7500
