I was wondering how can you make your own intakes. I was reading and saw multiple people who have done it and I was wondering how?
Learn how to weld brother. I did not too long ago and am ready to do my exhaust. I have been contemplating an intake too.
I think that's the ticket hometown. Invest in a welder and go for it!

i didnt know if you needed a machine shop or whatever. i do need to learn to weld though.
Yes i have built my own intakes and working on another. Top of the list
1) you need a welder & know how to weld or have someone else weld it for you.
2)some kinda metal Brake(this depends on how you plan on makeing any bends)
3)a mill machine? or torchs , plasma cutter
4) drill or drill press
5)and sheet metal tools snips, grinder, die grinder Etc.
Hope some of this helps. And any other Questions Welcome. }[oooooo]

just finished making my own intake and exhaust for my hemi 6.main thing to remember is to bolt down solidly before and when welding(and don't unbolt till cool!!)we unbolted the intake (from an old cyl head)too early and ended up with a 4mm warp(nothing a bit of machining can't fix!)you can view them on(just scroll down to steves manifolds)

That is some trick fuel system. Can't say as I've ever seen a tri-power L6 on propane, much less your "old" system of dual propane!
Keep up the good work!

If you plan to do more then one manifold, you may waant to 'tool-up' for a sand casting.
