Just curious to see what your fastest times you have run or have seen run in a 1/4 mile?
A turbocharged car.
I am talking old school stuff.194-292 Chevy's, Fords,200-300 Inlines, you know old designed stuff.

Not newer Supra's, trailblazer engines etc.
No 4 valves per cylinder.
Two valve stuff.

MPH also.
Brazil does not count ,there too fast over there,, just kidding :-) That's a joke.

Douglas,
could you post some pics w/cars & their times?
Must be a street car though.
Thanks!!

Must be street legal.

Thanks
M.B.H.D.
The Sternanmens have broke into the high 9's with their street Driven 309ci Inline 6, Powerglide, 10in Tire. Turboed running Tripple 2bbls and somewhere in the range of 35-40psi IIRC. This is all in a Full Frame 38 Chevy Coupe.
RevOD,

I thought you were supposed to take some pics of that car???
Yeah I havent been out to this shop since then. Possibly once it warms up and the show season starts again he will bring it out.
RevOD,,,,

Is his shop close to you?

Maybe you can swing by & take some pics?
He would probably like having a fan come over??

Get some info on the car, car weight,HP, torque, turbo used ,etc???

Just a thought.
Thanks!!
Look Mean Buzzen...

I'm from Brazil, but as you said Brazil was not counting I take some rides from our neighbors, the Argentina.
People there like 6 stuff to.
This is a good page to look around:

Some great rides and much crazy stuff.

Cheers
seiscanecos74,,,

I was joking about that Brazil does not count.

Thanks for the link!

Do they have turbocharged cars in Argentina?
Thanks
M.B.H.D.
Hank

Yeah. I knew that was a joke!

Don't know about the turbochargeed cars over there. This is the only argentinian web page I know. But I'm always looking for new 6 stuff and if i discover something interesting i'll put it here.

Cheers man
HEre are the only ones I could dig up from a Show Last Year. Now this setup is diffrent the what he ran at the Pump Gas Drags in 2004. That was a lower Boost, with a Dominator Setup (the one in Leo's book I believe)

This setup is running 35+psi IIRC. I am going to try and get by their Shop sometime after the 1st of the year, ill get info and pics for ya. Also some pics of their Land Speed Roadster with the sub 300ci V-8 thats Twin Turboed if its there.

.

RevOd,
Thanks!
What does this stand for? IIRC
If I Remember Correctly
Nice topic, Hank!

I´ll search for some new pictures of Brazilian cars and their times...
Harry has one of the cleanest street/race cars Ive seen in a long time. I remember when that car came out in Hot ROD magazine in the early 1990s. That's the car that kept me building inlines. 15 years later and a zillion dollars later I finally have something that runs as good as it does.

Steven
They do build some amazing cars thats for sure.
Yes they do make nice cars for sure, Leo & Harry needs to race heads up!!

Thanks, those are nice pics!

I saw that in a magazine,I was impressed & dissapointed ,mainly the used Toyota intercooler,, what was up w/that & the location???

Nice pretty stock looking car, light weight,& that car has the aluminum Classic inline cylinder head,, correct???

MBHD
They have switched to a larger aftermarket intercooler and up front was the only place behind the grill.

Did that make a big improvement?
Along w/the aluminum cyl head??
MBHD
MBHD, best time with a Aus 2v head and 500cfm carb was 11.85 @ 120 mph IIRC.They are installing a new motor this week as we have the WestCoast HotRod Assoc. Finals this weekend here in Phoenix. They have installed one of our new solid lifter cams and have one of the new intakes aswell, plus a higher stall converter to help it launch. May take a few weeks to get it dialed back in but I'll keep you posted. Their goal is to run WCHRA's D/gas or Quick street in the PSCA wich are 10.60 Index classes.

How did it do????
Any videos?
Lee
Lee, they finished the car fri morning of the race. The test/tune on Fri nite got rained out so they went through the motions during qualifying first pass was a 13.58 2nd was a mid 12 sec run and on the 3rd pass it went 11.59.Kelly unfortunately went out 1st round due to a small mechanical problem and went 12.45 on a 11.49 index. They are racing again this weekend and will update when I get back from the track.
"NEWS FLASH"

Leo Santucci did it, he just put his 54 Studebaker into the 9's on 10-17-07

He ran several 9.80's the best of 9.807 @ 137.22 with more to come, Congratulations LEO !!!!

Harry
Nice!

Does Leo still using a hybrid head? As the CPD close down, i was wondering who's doing the job for Leo now.

Congrats Leo.
Thanks! It's a fun project. Actually, Leo is running almost the exact setup he's had for the last few years. We're just getting better at exorcism's or problem solving, we're not sure which. After the head was built, it's good for a bit! Haven't needed another one but any good machine shop could do it. Once this system is developed, we'll start building on what we've learned.
my camaro has been 6.80 in the 1/8th @100. mph and coasted from the 1000 ft. 11.30 @ 96 mph....16 lbs of boost 4800 rpm shifts /3.50 gear ...and a stock 292 web pagesuttonspeedshop.com

I don't think that manifold could put out enough for those size turbos.
