Hi Guys!

I take off some weight of the car, and now I put the engine and transmission with steel motorplates while the aluminum ones is not maded.

The car, with engine block, crankshaft, transmission, stock cylinder head, steel motorplates and stock doors weight about 1200lbs.
I´m planning to reach, with all the stuff, about 1.900lbs with pilot.

I´m doing this car all alone at nights and weekends, and that´s why this project is running like a broken leg turttle...

Hope you like it!!!

Douglas,,,

I am sure I would like it if I could see the pictures????

Congratulations Douglas, that's a very nice car, very tricky setup!

About the 'broken leg turtle', don't loose the steam, it's way better than a sitting turtle (my current project status...).

By the way, I only learned recently to post pictures here and so I can share this:

I opened a free account at:

http://photobucket.com

Then I upload the desired pics to Photobucket website (I usually reduce their size). When I’m writing a post, I simply copy the “image address” from the picture I want to post (I choose the “Img” option) and paste it in the message. I suggest clicking “Preview Post” to confirm everything is OK.

Example:

is actually “{IMG}http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n61/rofc/I-6GM250.jpg {IMG}"

very nice. lots of work in that. lets see 1900 lbs 700hp, how fast did you want to go? you might want to check you pants after running that down the track. tom

Hey Douglas, I sent you a PM. I'm trying to get more information about the 250 MPFI system. Way cool car. I'm thinking of doing a Vega tube chassis car with a inline turbo six. Car never came with this engine just the 2.3L 4 cyl. I'd have to stretch it a little to make it fit. ;\)
Thanks

I found a shop that do CNC water jet cut to make the aluminum motorplates. Now, I will make all the sheet metal work on the car, and after that, I´ll order the aluminum motorplates!
I have the two motorplates in "Autocad" drawing if you want it...
