Here's my fully assembled Offy 3x1 setup in my Nova. Just wanted to share it with the people who helped me make it possible.

Now it's simply a matter of starting it, keeping it running, and tuning the carbs. But eh, I've got nothing but time.

I had the same thing on my 250.. The mono jets are nice , but I had to keep adjusting them. I had progressive linkage on mine. Ran on the center Carb most of the time and the other 2 came in around 65 or unless I got into it. Not a huge difference but could feel the difference.
Your set up looks good.

250Nova,

A real nice setup. It brings back memories of when I put three Stromberg 97s on a Harper Stubby manifold on my 261 in a 1953 Chevy back in 1958. I hope that you enjoy your inliner as much I did, and have, mine. It is great to have a good-looking engine that runs well and is not like what everyone else has.

Have you seen the Inliners>> thread in Bench Racing? It is kind of like an Oprah confessional, but maybe we should all join in. Unless someone gives a hint as to their chronological age, it is not apparent what the ages of the writers on this BB are. We are all somewhere between 16 and 25 at heart, if not in body.

Great look.

But aren't the gas pipes too small? Which is the throttle size?

I used to ran a similar setup with a 278 isky cam and alcohol and needed to put an 11 milimeter pipe to not empty the bowls at 6.800-7.000 rpms. Using a strong eletric fuel pump.

But very nice look, anyway. Congrats

If Nova250 is running gasoline, his carburetors need only about half of the flow required for burning metanol, all else being equal. His tubes are probably adequate. Are the tubes to and from the fuel pump at least as big as stock? The tube to the first tee looks like 1/4", but its hard to tell from the photo.

Everything is 5/16" steel fuel line. Same as stock.

UPDATE:
After finding that I wasnt getting any spark, I replaced the weights, pins, springs, and module in the dist. so now I'm gonna get a new pickup, because my instructor told me that I didnt have pulse either.

Which cam are you using on?

^^^^ In Response To ^^^^

I havent touched the internals of the motor yet. This is a low milage (approx 84k) original motor. When it comes time to rebuild it, it will be recieving a lumpier cam.

Interesting

And have you a strong difference in the fuel milage?
I mean, never saw this setup in a stock engine before.
And what about the throttle response?

I'm impressed! Now for the questions...
Did/Do you have any binding on the linkages?
Do you modify the carbs at all?
Do you know what year the carbs are?

keep us posted

Saw the Nova at the Greenwood show a couple weeks ago. Think it looks good in the pics? The car as a whole looked GREAT! Makes me wish I had my '69 still.

Maybe I'm off, but do I remember the headers being wrapped now? Made any progress toward the TH350 swap yet?

That's a beautiful setup, but it might breathe a tad better with K&N air filters on the carbs. Just a thought.

Is it me or is the center air filter taller? If it is, is there a paricular reason or is it what you had available?
250Nova

Looks nice!
Does it feel faster?
